New Album Released!

The long awaited follow up album to 'The Long Journey from Boy to Man' is released on Monday 8th November 2004. 'My Saviour', features twelve brand new songs, which has taken David the last six months to record and mix at Loophole Studios, in Brighton. The album has a brilliant feel to it and is a giant step forward from David's debut album, almost four years previous. Working with a very talented group of musicians including, David's brother Rob on drums, Jules Bell, on fiddle, along with Steve Mack, Steve Dixon, Sarah Rice and Stuart Bullen. David Soanes is announced as one of the musicians playing at this years Hobbs Farm Music Festival, in West Sussex. David will be playing in the barn on Sunday 19th September and will be playing a 30 minute set (on stage at 1.45pm). David will be accompanied by the excellent Jules Bell, former violinist with folk band 'Legacy'. Jules also features on David's long awaited follow up album 'My Saviour', which is due for release later this year. Check out the live dates page, for information on where to buy tickets.

The new album is to be released a little later than anticipated, due to the mixing process taking slightly longer than originally expected. But don't worry, it will be worth the wait, news from the studio is that the album is really coming together nicely. With a full line up of guest musicians featuring on the album, it's sounding really good. As soon as a realease date is set, details will be posted on this page. The current timescale is for mid to late September.

Website goes Live!

Officially David Soanes.co.uk goes live on the 1st of July. Website gives details on albums, live dates, latest news, biography and shows photos of David in the studio, recording his new album.

In March of this year, David heads back into the studio to begin recording his second studio album, 'My Saviour' which is due for release in September. For this album, David is collaborating with a varied list of musicians from across Sussex, including his brother Rob on drums, violinist Jules Bell (formerly of folk band 'Legacy') and Mat Baker, accomplished guitarist from Brighton, currently based in Spain.

With a more uplifting feel to the new album, David is looking forward to its release and plans to release four singles from the album, which will include demo versions of new songs and alternative/live versions of songs featured on both albums. In between recording sessions, David will be out and about, playing songs from the previous album and from the new offering! Watch out for current and new dates on the live dates page.
